great start up gym set
I brought this start up weight set for my 15 year old son for his Christmas present. The grand total of weight is 30kg which can be used all together on a barbell (which clips together) or separately as dumbells (2 x 15kg) you attach all the weights on the bar and secure with a plastic screw fastener. Aslobg as you don't throw these dumbells around ( I don't know why you would anyway)this would hold adequately for your work out. It was packaged securely and everything inside was individually wrapped. My son will be so happy tjat he finally has his own set. The fact you can adjust the weights and change accordingly means you do not needs lots of individually dumbells.
I have just started back in the gym and wanted to begin with some weight training. I assumed it would cost me a fortune but after searching for dumbbells I realised they aren’t too pricey. This was certainly one of the cheaper ones I found on here so I thought I would just go for it and see what I would get. The versatility of being able to have this as dumbbells or a barbell really does utilise the weights and ensures you get your moneys worth.
The build quality isn’t too bad. They seem solid but I could see them cracking if your dropped them from a considerable height so I would take that into consideration. How much you get with this is truly incredible! You get four 2.5kg , four 2kg, four 1.5kg and four 1.25kg weights. This means your able to switch up and find the perfect weight for either your dumbbell or barbell lifting session
Using the barbell attachment is very pleasant. It has this foam padding on it making for a much more comfortable workout, especially if you’re doing a behind the head lift. To be honest even the dumbbell handles are quite nice as well. I was slightly worried about the nut bolts being cheap and a slight health and safety concern but thankfully they are built quite well and seem the grip to the rods really well. I have confidence they won’t let me down.
I like that this is space saving as I preform my workouts in my room. The dumbbell set is thankfully easy to assemble and in turn disassemble for future use. The versatility and tonnes of ways to use this dumbbell and barbell set is remarkable for the price. What you get for what you pay for is really fantastic. You’re able to slowly add more and more weight until you are comfortable. Its great for beginners and enthusiasts unlike.
